As a follow up to a meeting held last week at the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, Kare Hi-Tech Engineering Ltd, promoters of the South Chad Irrigation Project, is seeking assistance to leverage private investments and development resources to commence rice, wheat, cowpea, sorghum, millet and vegetable production through out-grower programme with IDPs in a 27,000 ha irrigation project in Bornu state. The $18.5 million project will contribute to bringing stability and income generation to people of Northern Borno State where about 25,000 IDP families will be integrated into productive activities of the project. CDI is a commodity development service provider working with private and public sector organizations to offer value chain development, investment facilitation and export development project management services.
